Since our charter in 2014, our American Legion Post has been welcoming VETERANS from all branches of our Armed Forces. Today, we continue to welcome all military personnel serving our country. Joining our Post enables you to continue serving your God, Country and Community. Our mission is to implement the goals, aspirations, dreams, peace and blessings for our country, friends and families embodied in our preamble below.
American Legion Nelson Count Post 42 recently made a $1600 donation to the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard. This donation is made possible by the generous people that come to play bingo on Friday and Saturday evenings at the American Legion Nelson County Post 42 Bingo at 126 Keystone Ave, Bardstown KY. ORG0002699. $797 in donation was raised at bingo for the Veterans Honor Guard and American Legion Post 42 matched that and donated $1600.
The Marion County Veterans Honor Guard is a not for profit organization of Veterans that provides Military Honors to Veterans in the surrounding counties. In 2016, the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard provided services to a member of American Legion Post 42 upon his passing. We are honored to help support this organization that honors our brothers and sisters. There are also members of the American Legion tha thelp make up the Marion County Veterans Honor Guard.
